Test keyboard, mouse, mic, and webcam online
Test keyboard, mouse, microphone, and webcam in the browser.
Press any keys. Focus the page (click the box) if nothing appears.
Waiting for a key…
Browser-only diagnostics. Grant permissions when the browser asks. Stop mic/camera when finished.
Media stays on your device. Mic/camera access is only used while you start a test and stops when you leave.
Solutions that can help in your case
Other tools
Keyboard Tester
Test every key online — live key and code display in your browser.
Mouse Tester
Test left, right, middle click and scroll wheel online.
Microphone Test
Check your mic level in the browser — audio never leaves your device.
Webcam Test
Preview your camera in the browser — local only, no upload.
How the peripherals suite works
Four browser tests: keyboard events, mouse buttons/position/wheel, microphone level (getUserMedia + analyser), and webcam preview. Each tab is independent.
Mic and camera need explicit permission. Tracks stop when you leave the page or press Stop. Nothing is uploaded for analysis.
How to run the suite
Pick a tab: Keyboard, mouse, mic, or webcam.
Interact: Press keys, click, speak, or start the camera.
Confirm: Check codes, buttons, level, or preview.
Stop media: Stop mic/camera when finished.
Is a key stuck, a mouse button dead, or the mic silent on calls?
Hardware glitches waste meetings and games. A quick browser test separates “broken device” from “app permissions”.
Use keyboard and mouse tabs without installing drivers. For mic/webcam, allow access only while testing, then stop.
Tips when a test fails
- Try another USB port or dongle battery for wireless gear.
- Check OS privacy settings for mic/camera per browser.
- Disable exclusive mode / other apps holding the device.
- Update chipset and audio drivers on Windows.
- Blow dust from mechanical switches carefully; replace worn mice.
- On laptops, confirm the mic/camera is not hardware-muted.
- Test in a second browser to rule out extension blocks.
- If only one key fails, it is usually hardware — not the OS.
Keyboard events
We show key, code, and recent codes. Games and shortcuts depend on code more than printed legends.
If a key never appears, try another keyboard or OS keyboard viewer.
Mouse buttons and wheel
Left/middle/right and wheel delta confirm switches and scroll sensors.
Right-click is suppressed in the test box so the menu does not hide the result.
Microphone level
After permission, an analyser estimates volume. Speak to see the bar move.
Silence with permission granted often means wrong input device in OS settings.
Webcam preview
Local MediaStream only — no upload. Stop the camera when done to free the device for Zoom/Meet.
When new peripherals make sense
If keys chatter, switches fail, or the mic is noisy after OS checks, a quality keyboard/mouse/headset is often cheaper than lost productivity.
